Baby Skincare:
Keeping babies natural and chemical-free is our goal.  As baby skin is five times thinner than adults’, many harsh chemicals in traditional skincare products can irritate their sensitive skin.  Harmful synthetics in many skincare products include petroleum-based paraffin wax, mineral oil and petroleum jelly.  These coat the skin with an impenetrable barrier that inhibits the skins natural balance, robbing natural moisture from delicate skin.

Other common synthetic chemicals include Sodium Lauryl Sulfate (SLS), a synthetic detergent used in shampoos to create the lathering effect and DEA (Diethanolamine) & TEA (Triethanolamine), which are used to adjust pH values.  SLS is a common irritant and dries skin by stripping the protective lipids from the scalp’s surface and DEA/TEA can cause allergic skin reactions and irritation.

Essential Oils & Aromatherapy:
Pure essential oils are a concentration of a plant’s vital essence in which solar energy is stored and where the plant’s most therapeutic and healing properties are most concentrated.  Through steam or water distillation, essential oils are extracted from various herbs, trees, shrubs and flowers.  The production of essential oils for authentic aromatherapy requires quality control from the plant to the bottle, ensuring proper species, growing conditions, harvesting, distillation and testing of the final product.

Our essential oils are organically-grown and imported from around the world, including Bulgarian and French Lavender, Brazilian Rosewood, Moroccan Cedarwood, English Chamomile and Polynesian Monoï de Tahiti.

Babēcology utilizes botanical analysts who regularly monitor and supervise the crop production, development, distillation and testing of the essential oils in each country of origin to ensure the most superior final product.
